WhatsApp Out With New Sticker Feature

The Facebook-owned app, WhatsApp has emerged as one of the most popular social media platforms, and after months of anticipation, it has introduced the ‘Stickers feature’ to iOS and Android users. The feature will help enhance the social media marketing strategies for the platform in a big way.  The app will now join the bandwagon of GIF’s and stickers as they are the trending items which a social app must have. Now you will be able to express yourselves and convey messages explicitly.

Now an individual can ‘Star’ their favorite stickers, and if you send more than one sticker, then it will convert them into one group just like images and users will now be able to delete or forward a sticker.

In a blog post, the company said: “From emoji and camera features to Status and animated GIFs, we’re always looking to add new features that make communicating with friends and family on WhatsApp easy and fun.”

Initially, the app introduced a handful of default stickers. Now there will be a dedicated Stickers Store from which users can download free sticker packs. In total there will be 12 sticker packs provided by WhatsApp, and also users will get access to a link which through which they can download specific prominent sticker packs directly from Google Play.  The stickers will now be accessible directly from WhatsApp Web after its available. You can also use Stickers directly from the WhatsApp Web after its possible on your Smartphone.

How to use:

You can use a sticker in one of your chats by tapping the emoji button from the chat bar after that tap the sticker’s icon from the bottom bar. There will be a history tab which will showcase all the previously used stickers and favorites tab which will include all stickers that will mark by clicking on the star option.

The feature will soon be available on WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.18.329 and WhatsApp on iOS version 2.18.100. For some time the app was contemplating adding more options of communication other than only texts, emojis, and audio. The app with its social media marketing elements and new features is set to grow.
